My dear Blog

Thinking!!!! ... how come this idiot has find time to enter a new posting???? Ya i know, that im not a regular blogger, but today Sthuthy is so bored and job less, that i dint have anyother option other than blogging. So how are you my dear blog? I know you are upset on me. But it was not my mistake. I was very busy all these days and you know what, today my Madam is not around so came running to type for you few things.

I had a very heavy yummy lunch….. Great difficulty carried myself back to the campus… Could not think of going up to the floor(2nd) in that sleepy state, so stayed at the canopy hoping to get rid of the drowsiness….. But destiny had total opposite plans for me… Sunny atmosphere gave way to a cool breeze and I started feeling very sleepy coz of that breeze…. Reminded me of my fan in room only things missing were my pillow and my blankie …. So dragged myself back to my desk, no work again…

Well, feeling to go to Mysore but you know what, this weekend there is a Recruitment Drive happening in our Whitefield office so FORGET ABOUT IT.

Then what else my dear blog. If you were not there today means, i would have turned mad. Thats why i suggest all my friends to create their own blog Ids and start posting their entires.

Yup, finally its time to go back home and sleep. So Byee my dear blog...See you soon someother day. Dont worry i wont take too long time to get back to you this time ok Chweetie.. Byee take care.

Library Posters

"A poster is a bill or placard usually displayed in a public place. It is often decorated with designs or illustrations". A poster is an informative, often decorative way to attract attention to the information it contains

Some ways to use posters in a literacy program:
  • To advertise events or products
  • To display information or instructions
  • To teach some kinds of information

A poster should tell a story. In preparing a poster, simplicity is the key. A typical reader may spend only a few minutes looking at the poster, so there should be a minimum of clutter and a maximum of pithy, informative statements and attractive, enlightening graphics. You need to make sure that it will capture and hold the reader’s attention.

I Love My Guddi

Hi everyone, actually no one, i know that no one knows my blog id and no one looks at my posting. But still in case anyone logs on to my blog site, i want to let them know that i love dogs ,especially puppies. Indeed after coming to Bangalore im missing my guddi very much.

I love all animals.Of them dog is my pet animal. My doggy is a Pomeranian. Her name is Guddi. She is very beautiful. All of us at home love her very much. I have learnt from them that they are so faithful. My dog is also faithful. I used to take it with me for a morning and an evening walk. If it meets other dogs on the way it barks and wants to jump on them. But I control it.

Guddi, she hates cats. She is also scared of Diwali crackers, So even i stopped burning crackers just for her sake. She wants bed, pillow and mosquito net to sleep. She loves my mom very much. My mom always say that she has 3 kids, Shilpa, Sagar and Guddi.

Now my guddi is already 10years old and we are afraid of losing her as dogs have very short life span. I pray God, Please give long life to my Guddi..Plz plzz.....

Way Of life

Forget about the days when its been cloudy,
but don't forget your hours in the sun.

Forget about mistakes that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons that you've learnt.

Forget about the times you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won.

Forget about misfortunes you encounter,

but don't forget the times your luck has turned.

Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen.

Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right,
but...

Don't forget to Always Have A Dream

Keep Smiling !!!!

The open library

In this system the librarian moves beyond the concept to actual interaction with users

The library is the core of every learning institution where information and knowledge are freely accessible to the learner community. But wait! Is this actually happening in our school and college libraries? When information is freely available on the Internet, is it not an anomaly to restrict access to it in the library? In fact the library has an edge over the Internet, because here the user can benefit from the librarian's presence to screen material for appropriateness, and authenticity. The students learn many important skills of hunting, gathering and assessing for value. They also pick up crucial messages from the adults who run the system. When they understand that there can be freedom only when it goes with responsibility, they have learnt a lesson for life. Against this background, the open library is a perfectly natural state of affairs. This is a library that is open at all times to all users. For the young person, there is no thought of misuse and mistrust – as yet! It is up to us to keep it that way.

What are the necessary ingredients for starting, and more importantly, sustaining an open library? Mutual trust is the ground from which the library functions. The first step and in fact, every step thereafter, is to be in communication and dialogue with the users. Then, the entire community of users, including the librarian, feels a sense of ownership and accountability. An open library does not imply a casual, or worse, a careless attitude. Rather, it demands of the librarian constant awareness and alertness to anticipate needs, opportunities for further enhancement, and possibilities for all eventualities. It requires affectionate but firm interaction with the users. This is not a list of super qualities but something that evolves out of the relationship with the living library.

How can we move beyond the mere concept of an Open Library into the reality of it? Believing that it works (and it has) helps! How are the practical jobs in a library to be done with so much time going on interaction with users?

First, make sure every class has a weekly library period. Now you have your work force. At this time, you can have activities to enhance reading and reference work. Students can help in reshelving and book repair. It is amazing how many books they rediscover during these pleasurable tasks. Methods for borrowing and returning can be made very simple yet foolproof, and students can not only do it themselves but actually enjoy it. Begin the year with an orientation session with every class.

Then, over the year, involve children of all ages in book store trips and exhibitions to select books. In the school, organise activities to enhance the use of materials and resources. Arrange talks by authors and other teachers on their favourite books. If you do not want be left behind, find the right software and get your library automated. This will take you further into a successful open library and keep you on par with the most up-to-date libraries. The Open Library is a happy and lively place!
